Hi, I'm Mirthe!

In August 2025, I made my dream come true by opening my own shop, Mirthe’s Cottage, right in the heart of Delft — on Voldersgracht 23 (you’re always welcome to stop by!).

Before opening my shop, I ran a webshop, and ever since I started my business at sixteen, I’ve spent a lot of time at markets and fantasy fairs.

I’m an avid reader and a big fan of fantasy. The books you’ll find in my shop are all personal favourites or titles that sit high on my own TBR (To Be Read) list. My absolute favourites (though it’s impossible to pick just one) are Six of Crows and Legendborn. I recommend them so often that they’re almost never in stock!

Besides books, I have a deep love for nature and all things creative. I’m always experimenting with new techniques and materials — something you can clearly see in the products I make. I often work with epoxy resin, dried flowers and other natural materials, spend plenty of time behind the sewing machine making worry pets and book sleeves, and craft miniatures like the 5-star bookshelves with lots of love and attention.

Bit by bit, the Cottage is growing into a place filled with stories, stones, and handmade treasures.
Everything I create is made with care and joy — and I hope you can feel that when you step inside.
