Each dome is a handmade miniature creation, centred around a tiny bookcase. The bookcase features five little stars: ready to be filled with your favourite 5-star books! A unique gift or a charming eye-catcher for your own bookshelf.
Everything is made by me with care and love, on a small scale but with a great eye for detail.
"Ready-made" bookcases are completely finished except for the books. I make each glass dome differently, so yours is always 100% unique. You can, of course, choose which books will be placed in your bookcase!
A "ready-made" bookcase costs €99.75 (including 10 books). Each additional book costs €1.
At this moment, the "ready-made" bookcases have a waiting list of 6 people.
Besides "ready-made" bookcases, you can also choose a custom glass dome. You can always choose the books yourself, but with a custom one, you can also choose the other details. Think of the base, the colour of the bookcase, additions like mushrooms, crystals, trees, signs... The possibilities are endless! We'll decide together what will go inside. Depending on how involved you want to be in the process, you can choose how often you want to receive updates while I'm making it (do you prefer to see the entire process, or would you rather be surprised?).
A custom-made dome costs between €129.75 and €149.75 (including 10 books), depending on which/how many additions you choose. Each additional book costs €1.

Interested in a glass dome? Send me an email. If you want a "ready-made" bookcase, and there are one or more available, I'll send you photos so you can choose. If there aren't any available, you can choose to be put on the waiting list. I'll then let you know when new ones become available.

Have you chosen a bookcase? Then it's time for perhaps the most difficult step: choosing which books you want on your shelf! I'll ask you to send me images of the covers so I can be sure I'm making the right books (for example, if there are multiple editions of a book).
📚 Tip: covers with a large title and/or a high contrast between the text and the background are most visible!
Because the domes are fragile, I don't ship them by mail. You can pick them up at my shop at Voldersgracht 23 in Delft.

Communication with Mirthe was wonderful, and I still feel so happy every day when I look at my own little bookshelf filled with my favourite mini books!"
